Student Survey on the Blocking System

Survey results will be anonymously shared with the Harvard administration. Long Textual Content: As the Class of 2024 entered the sophomore housing lottery this month, it came to the attention of the UC that the current blocking process is controversial. Rising sophomores enter the housing lottery through blocking groups of up to eight students and may link with one other blocking group. 

Thus, the UC seeks to gauge student opinion on the current blocking system to advocate for solutions for a more inclusive system. Survey results will be anonymously compiled into “A Report on Student Opinion about the Sophomore Blocking System” that will be shared with the Housing and Residential Operations department.
